Quickly count pulse rate on the outer dial
Using any one of the four pointers on the cross-shaped second hand, count 15 pulses from the start position on the outer dial (or one of three positions for the 37mm series). (This reduces waiting time and allows for quicker measurement.)
This convenient watch for medical settings features a slide rule function where the outer number displayed at the 15th count indicates the pulse rate per minute.
Measuring Respiration Rate
For all 42mm models, a slide rule indicating the respiration rate per minute based on 5 breaths is set inside the dial's pulsometer.
