[Rare Item] Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant A41030 Black Dial 38 Jewels Automatic Winding Overhauled Circa 1999 USED

This is a black dial model of the "Navitimer Montbrillant" manufactured around 1999.
 

The Montbrillant model was revived in 1995, inheriting the design of the original Chronomat from the 1940s.
 

The original Chronomat was a masterpiece chronograph launched in 1942, featuring the world's first "slide rule bezel."
It was a classic that rivaled the Navitimer, which appeared in 1952, in popularity.
 

Elements evoking the original Chronomat have been reproduced, such as the red circle in the center of the dial and the adoption of a domed mineral crystal glass to faithfully replicate the "domed crystal" of the 1940s.

When it was first released in 1995, the Montbrillant was only available in an 18K rose gold model, but the stainless steel model was introduced the following year in 1996, and in 1998, it adopted the current style with the date display at the 4 o'clock position.

 

This model features a compact 38mm stainless steel case, making it suitable for any occasion.

Although the 38mm size was discontinued, it was re-released as a Japan-exclusive model in 2017, further increasing its appeal.

This model is recommended for those who prefer smaller watches or classic styles, as well as for women.

Notes

This particular watch has "49RUBIS" printed on the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position, but it is actually equipped with a 38-jewel movement.
This is a misprint, and the "49RUBIS" printing can also be seen in the manufacturer's advertisements from that time.
(The movements used in model numbers A41030 and A41330 are manufactured with 38 jewels)

The dial was later changed to "38RUBIS."
This is a unique piece with a rare misprinted dial for Breitling, so keeping it as is without replacing the dial could be an option.

Condition

The watch has been overhauled and the exterior polished by our store, making it ready for immediate use.

The rotating bezel is bi-directional and moves smoothly.

The bracelet is original and sufficiently long, accommodating wrist sizes up to 189mm.

There are minor scuffs and scratches on the crystal, but no noticeable scratches on the case or dial.
 

The crown and push-buttons are not screw-down, so the original water resistance is not high.
Please be careful to avoid moisture when using it.

(This caution applies to all Navitimer models with non-screw-down crowns released around the same period.)
