King Seiko is a series positioned as a top-tier collection, alongside Seiko's premium Grand Seiko, and was produced until the 1970s.
This is a King Seiko "VANAC".
The Vanac is characterized by its colorful appearance, featuring faceted glass and gradient dials.
There is a wide variety of faceted glass designs and dial color variations, making it rare to find identical pieces on the market, thus increasing its scarcity.
This particular piece features a rare 9-facet glass (8 facets + 1 in the center) and a green gradient dial.
The dial has a texture resembling washi paper fibers, which, combined with the gradient, creates a beautiful luster.
The gold-colored indexes, hands, calendar window frame, and bezel create a design with a special feel.
This model is equipped with a 56 series movement, King Seiko's third generation.
It features automatic winding with manual winding, a hacking seconds function, and a quick-set date and day function, making it highly practical.
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Turn the crown upwards in the normal position.Time Setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and turn it downwards (the second hand stops when pulled out two clicks).
Quick-set Date: Pull the crown out one click and turn it downwards.
Quick-set Day: Pull the crown out one click and turn it upwards (changes in the order of Japanese → English → Japanese).
The quick-set function is convenient, but operating it when the watch indicates between "9 PM and 2 AM" can cause gear damage.
It is recommended to adjust the time to around 6 o'clock before using the quick-set function.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and externally finished by our store and is ready for immediate use.
The bracelet is original and has "VANAC" engraved on the buckle.
The crown has the "KS" engraving, exclusive to King Seiko.
The case back is engraved with the KS mark.
Many models with faceted glass show noticeable scratches, but
this piece has only minor scratches on the edges and is generally in clean condition with no noticeable damage.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days, as it is not water-resistant.
