商品説明
This is a solid 18k gold Ulysse Nardin model from 1958.
Ulysse Nardin is a venerable watchmaker founded in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1846.
The brand became so successful that it held a near-monopoly in the field of marine chronometers, a prestigious heritage that includes supplying navies in 50 countries.
This piece features a simple, classic antique watch design with three hands and baton indices.
The brand's signature 'anchor logo' is placed at the 12 o'clock position on the dial.
The crown has a diameter of 4.8mm, making it easy to grip and highly functional.
The solid 18k gold case radiates a beautiful luster without appearing flashy, exuding an elegant atmosphere.
Due to high tariffs on imported finished precious metal watches at the time, this model was assembled in Japan using cases manufactured locally with the brand's approval, making it a highly rare item with very limited circulation.
The interior of the case back bears a hallmark from the Japan Mint to certify the precious metal.
Compared to other solid 18k gold models, this one is understated and easy to wear.
It is a charming piece with a chic design.
This rare item includes an archive certificate issued by Ulysse Nardin.
How to operate
Pulling the crown: Gently pull the crown out by inserting your fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Gentle handling will reduce strain on the crown.
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate it upwards.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate it downwards.
The second hand does not stop.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our shop.
The leather strap has been replaced with a new one (by CASSIS), so you can use it with comfort.
There is a bend in the upper-right lug of the case.
Please wear the strap loosely to avoid putting stress on the lug.
The crown does not have the Ulysse Nardin mark, so it is likely an aftermarket replacement.
As this watch is nearly half a century old, it is not waterproof.
Please also handle it with care to avoid shocks.
