This is a Cartier Santos Octagon LM AUTO from the 1980s.
The octagon (eight-sided) bezel is eye-catching.
Although it was the LM (Large Model) men's size at the time of its release, its 30mm diameter makes it compact enough to suit women as well.
The dial is a glossy white.
The hands and the decorative stone on the crown are blue.
The dial, hands, and crown have been replaced during a Cartier complete service.
This is a 1980s model and is equipped with an automatic movement.
It features a manual winding function and a quick-set date function, making it very user-friendly.
With its clean and sophisticated design, it can be worn for any occasion.
Operation Instructions
How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown from the back and gently pull it out
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Manual Winding: Turn clockwise while the crown is in the standard position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out to the second position and turn counter-clockwise.
The second hand will stop when the crown is in the second position.
Date Quick-set: Pull the crown out to the first position and turn clockwise.
Performing the quick-set operation while the watch indicates "9:00 PM to 2:00 AM" will cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6:00 before using the quick-set function.
Condition
This watch has undergone a complete service by Cartier, with the dial, hands, and crown replaced.
It comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty starting from March 11, 2022.
With the included "International Lifetime Guarantee," the cost of Cartier overhauls (the base fee for complete service) is free for life (parts costs are charged at actual price).
Since the international lifetime guarantee was validated during this complete service, please keep it in a safe place.
The bracelet is original.
It can accommodate wrist sizes up to a maximum of 186mm.
The buckle lock is secure.
Although there are minor scratches on the case and bracelet, the watch is in beautiful condition overall with no noticeable signs of deterioration.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
