This is the SBEN001, a reissue model of the original 1959 Alpinist.
The original Alpinist featured a large protector attached to the strap to protect the watch from sweat.
This reissue faithfully reproduces the original design while upgrading the water resistance to 10 bar. (Please note that as this is a used item, there is no water resistance guarantee.)
The crystal is the same dome shape as the original, but the reissue uses sapphire crystal.
Sapphire crystal is highly scratch-resistant, making the watch more practical for everyday use.
The dial is a glossy black.
The combination of wedge-shaped indices, bar indices, and luminous paint provides excellent visibility.
The SEIKO logo is positioned at the 12 o'clock position, and "Automatic" is printed in script at the 6 o'clock position.
A date display is located at the 5 o'clock position.
It is powered by the Caliber 6L35 movement.
This is a thin, automatic movement that is highly practical, featuring hand-winding, hacking (second hand stop), and quick-set date functions.

Operating Instructions
Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise.
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out to the second click.
Date quick-set: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate counter-clockwise.
Operating the quick-set date while the watch hands are between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM may cause damage.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before performing a quick-set date adjustment.
Condition
As measured by a timegrapher, the daily rate is +12 seconds in the flat position and -2 seconds with the crown facing down.
Please consider these as reference values, as accuracy will vary depending on the winding level and usage environment.
The watch is in beautiful condition overall with no noticeable scratches.
As this is a used item, there is no water resistance guarantee.
