This is a Green Horse from Rado's Horse series.
They gained popularity as Swiss-made automatic (with manual winding) models featuring waterproof cases (by the standards of the time).
Among them, the Green Horse was produced in smaller quantities, making it a rare model.
The dial and case back feature the seahorse, which is the icon for their waterproof cases.
The Green Horse dial is characterized by the seahorse being green in color.
The seahorse logo on the case back is designed to occupy most of the surface area.
It features an attractive finish combining mirror polishing and hairline finishing.
Although it bears a "Water-Sealed" engraving, please treat it as non-waterproof due to the age of the watch.
The 12 o'clock position on the dial features the Rado brand symbol, the "anchor mark." (It does not rotate.)
Instead of standard baton indices, it uses a rare wedge-shaped index design.
How to operate the AS1789
Manual winding: Rotate upwards while the crown is in the normal position.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not stop.
Quick-setting the date: Pull out the crown and move the hands back and forth between 8:20 PM and 12:00 AM.
1) Advance the hands until 12:00 (midnight).
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is noon.
2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, turn the hands back to 8:20 PM.
This prepares the watch to advance the calendar for the next day.
3) Advance the hands to 12:00 AM.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
Repeat steps 1) through 3) to advance the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce the strain on the movement.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new Di-Modell brand strap, so you can wear it with comfort.
The crown is original Rado and features the R mark.
Crown operation is smooth.
The crystal is original Rado, with the anchor mark etched into the center.
The date lens is located on the inside.
It has been polished, and the dial remains highly legible.
There is a thin crack on the bezel near the 4 o'clock position.
There are signs of corrosion on the back and sides of the case.
Due to its age, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, be careful to avoid magnetic fields and impacts.
