This is a Cartier Santos Octagon LM AUTO from the 1980s.
The octagon (eight-sided) bezel is eye-catching.
While it was the LM (Large Model) men's size when originally released, its 30mm diameter makes it compact enough to suit women as well.
The dial is a glossy white.
The hands and the decorative stone on the crown are blue.
The dial and hands have been replaced through a Cartier complete service.
This is a 1980s model and is equipped with an automatic movement.
It features manual winding and a quick-set date function, making it easy to use.
With its clean and sophisticated design, it can be worn for any occasion.
Operation Instructions
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown from the back side and pull out gently.
Pulling the crown with too much force may cause it to come out; please pull gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently helps reduce the stress on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the standard position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise.
The second hand will stop when the crown is in the second click position.
Quick-set date: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate clockwise.
Performing the quick-set operation while the watch displays a time between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM may cause damage.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before performing a quick-set adjustment.
Condition
This watch has undergone a complete service at Cartier, with the dial and hands replaced.
It comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty starting from October 26, 2022.
With the included "International Lifetime Guarantee," the basic service fee for a Cartier complete service (overhaul) is free for life. (Replacement parts are charged at cost.)
As this International Lifetime Guarantee was valid during the recent complete service, please keep it in a safe place.
The bracelet is original.
It can accommodate a wrist size of up to 184mm.
The buckle lock is secure.
There are minor scratches on the case and bracelet, but it remains in relatively clean condition.
Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy days or hot days.
Please be careful to protect it from magnetism and shocks.
