This is a rare solid 18K gold case "Lord Marvel" manufactured in 1962.
The Lord Marvel, which began production in May 1958, is a top-tier model that refined and enhanced the precision of the Marvel.
The number of jewels in the movement was increased from 17 to 23.
The movement features elaborate finishes, such as engraved and mirror-polished ratchet wheels, and polished screw heads.
All of these techniques were subsequently inherited by the Grand Seiko, which began production in 1960.
The case is solid 18K gold.
While many Ref. 15023 models feature gold-filled cases, this specific piece is a rare solid 18K gold example.
The case back has a rounded shape.
The lugs are long and feature a three-sided mirror finish.
The design creates a sleek, vertical silhouette.
The dial features a vertical hairline finish with a subtle luster.
This piece is a high-grade version known as an "SD dial."
The indices are crafted from solid 18K or 14K gold.
The sun-like mark at the 6 o'clock position signifies an SD dial, and its elegant luster remains intact today.

How to operate
Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in its normal position.
How to pull the crown: Gently pull it out by inserting your fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out. Please pull gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Operating it gently will reduce stress on the crown.
Time setting: Pull the crown out and rotate it counter-clockwise.
There is no hacking (seconds-hand stop) function.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and exterior polished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new genuine cowhide leather strap, allowing for comfortable wear.
The buckle is a genuine SEIKO (gold-plated) part.
Because solid 18K gold is softer than stainless steel, we recommend not fastening the strap too tightly to avoid putting excessive stress on the lugs.
The crown is an aftermarket part with no logo.
Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, be careful to avoid impacts and magnetism.
