商品説明
This is the second model of the King Seiko, the non-date 44-2000 introduced in 1963.
The King Seiko was a series positioned at the very top alongside Seiko's flagship "Grand Seiko", and was manufactured until the 1970s.
The second model is equipped with a hacking function (second-hand stop mechanism), which was omitted in the first model.
The utility was improved by adopting a screw-down case back (stainless steel models only).
The 44-2000 inherits the design of the 15034 (the first King Seiko model), while updating the movement to the 44KS and adopting a new second-generation dial design.
The case and case back share the same shape as the 15034, and this model is gold-filled.
Inside the case back, the model number 44-2000 is engraved rather than 15034.
The second model's case back specifications differ depending on the material: stainless steel models feature a screw-back, while this gold-filled version features a snap-back.
In the dial design, the SEIKO logo is at the 12 o'clock position, and the KING SEIKO logo has been moved to 6 o'clock.
There are no SD or AD marks indicating the material of the indices on the 44-2000.
This particular piece is a late-production 44-2000, featuring the lightning bolt mark of the Daini Seikosha (Kameido factory) below the KING SEIKO logo.
The entire dial features a sunray finish, giving it a simple yet luxurious appearance.

Differences in dial design between the 15034 and the 44-2000 (late model)
On the late-model 44-2000, the "Diashock" text is removed from the dial and replaced with the lightning bolt mark of the Daini Seikosha (Kameido factory).
How to operate the Cal.44A
Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position
How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out entirely. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating with care reduces the strain on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate counter-clockwise
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior refinished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, so you can use it comfortably.
The buckle features the SEIKO logo, but it is not the design from the time of its original release.
There are some minor scuffs and scratches on the case, but the dial and the medallion on the case back remain in beautiful condition.
Due to its age, this watch is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Please also be careful to avoid impacts and magnetism.
