This is a Green Horse from the Rado Horse series.
The Horse series was released in three models: the Golden Horse, Green Horse, and Purple Horse.
These models gained popularity as Swiss-made automatic watches (with manual winding capability) featuring water-resistant cases (by the standards of the time).
Among them, the Green Horse is a rare model with low circulation volume.
The dial and case back both feature the seahorse, the icon of the water-resistant case.
A distinctive feature of the Green Horse dial is the green-colored seahorse.
The seahorse logo on the case back is designed to occupy the majority of its surface.
It features an attractive design that combines a mirror finish with embossing.
Although it is engraved with "Water-Sealed," please use it as a non-waterproof watch because it is a vintage timepiece.
The Rado brand symbol, the anchor mark, is located at the 12 o'clock position on the dial. (It rotates and changes orientation.)
Rather than the standard baton indices, it features unique wedge-shaped indices.
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Rotate upward while the crown is in the normal position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out and rotate it upward.
The second hand does not stop.
Date Quick-set: With the crown pulled out, alternate between 8:20 PM and 12:00 AM while setting the time.
1) Advance the hands until 12:00 AM (midnight).
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is noon.
2) Once you confirm the date has changed, move the hands back to 8:20 PM.
This prepares the watch to advance to the next day's date.
3) Advance the hands to 12:00 AM.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating steps 1) through 3), you can quickly set the date day by day.
Please operate slowly to reduce the strain on the movement.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a new Di-Modell one, so you can wear it with comfort.
The crown is genuine Rado and features the anchor mark.
The crystal is genuine Rado, featuring a watermark of the anchor in the center.
The date lens is located on the inside.
The dial shows some sun-fading and spotting, and the indices are discolored.
The anchor mark rotates.
The hands have some scratches and dullness.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, be careful to avoid magnetism and impacts.
