It surpassed the "Dynamic Auto 33 Jewels," Japan's first 33-jewel wristwatch, in jewel count, with 12 rubies added to the rotor shaft, making it 45 jewels.
The Dynamic Auto was priced at 9,500 yen (33 jewels, gold-plated case) and 13,500 yen (45 jewels, gold-plated case) at a time when the average starting salary for university graduates was 15,700 yen.
It created a trend where various manufacturers successively developed multi-jewel models, making it a masterpiece that remains in the history of Japanese-made wristwatches.
The dial has a radial finish, and the multifaceted indexes are mirror-polished, emitting an elegant shine.
The gold dauphine hands have a sharp design.
The case is gold-plated, and the case back is stainless steel.
The lugs are well-balanced against the case, not too thin, creating a stylish look.
How to Operate
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position
The crown is difficult to grasp due to its recessed design.
It's easier to wind by holding it between the sides of your thumb and index finger and moving it as if sliding it.
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to detach. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull the crown and rotate it downwards
The second hand does not stop
Quick date adjustment: Pull the crown and move the hands between "9 PM and 12 AM" during time setting
1) Move the hands until 12 AM (24:00).
If the date changes, it is 12 AM. If it doesn't change, it is 12 PM.
2) When you move the hands to 24:00, the next date will be displayed. Then, move the hands back to 21:00.
3) Advance the hands to 24:00.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating this, you can quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce stress on the movement.
Condition
This item has been overhauled by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a new aftermarket one, so you can use it comfortably.
It comes with the original strap and buckle.
The crown is genuine Ricoh and features the R logo.
Due to its age, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy days, during the rainy season, or in summer.
Also, please be careful of impacts and magnetism.
