商品説明
This is Revue Thommen's alarm watch, the Cricket.
The Cricket is famous for being a model favored by past US presidents (such as the 34th president, Dwight D. Eisenhower).
Because its alarm sound resembles the chirping of a cricket, it's known by the nickname "Cricket (English name)," making it an interesting and attention-grabbing model.
The dial features an all-over pattern of linear geometric designs.
This pattern was used in the Cricket series and exudes an elegant sparkle.
There are two mainsprings: one for the alarm and one for the watch's operation.
Original retail price: 95,000 yen (excluding tax)
Operating Instructions
Setting the time: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate it downwards
The hands will move clockwise (you cannot move them counter-clockwise or turn back the time).
Winding the mainspring for watch operation: With the crown in the normal position, rotate it downwards
Winding the mainspring for the alarm: With the crown in the normal position, rotate it upwards
Setting the alarm time: Lightly press the 2 o'clock button to pull the crown out to the first click, then press the 2 o'clock button all the way in to pull the crown out to the second click, and rotate the crown upwards
If you press the 2 o'clock button all the way in at once, it may cause a malfunction.
Please press the button in two separate steps.
The alarm hand on the inner dial will move counter-clockwise (it cannot move clockwise).
Move the hand to the desired alarm time, then return the crown to the normal position to turn the alarm ON
Turning the alarm ON: Return the crown to the normal position
Even if the alarm is ON, it will not sound if the alarm mainspring is not wound.
When the alarm mainspring is not wound, the alarm hammer will be free, and you may hear a clicking sound when you shake the watch, but this is normal.
Turning the alarm OFF: Lightly press the 2 o'clock button to pull the crown out to the first click
Perform this operation if you want to stop a sounding alarm.
When the crown is in the "button pressed and first click pulled" state, it will spin freely when rotated, but this is normal.
