商品説明
This is the King Seiko second model with a date function, released in 1965.
King Seiko is a series positioned as one of Seiko's top-tier watches, alongside the high-end Grand Seiko, and was manufactured until the 1970s.
The second model features a hack function (second hand regulation device), which was omitted in the first model.
The adoption of a screw-down screw-back case on the back improved practicality (stainless steel models only).
The case design of the second model varies: the non-date models "44-9990" and "49999" have a robust construction with thick lugs, while this date model "4402-8000" features a sleek design with sculpted lugs.
Its design remains modern even after half a century.
The case back medallion of the second model underwent design changes in stages.
Initially, the King Seiko "shield mark" was used, but around 1967, it was changed to a simple design that just read "SEIKO."
This particular unit is the final model produced in 1968, featuring the Kameido (Daini Seikosha) mark below the SEIKO logo.

The dial has a sunray finish, creating shades depending on the angle of light.
It is equipped with the movement "Cal.4402A."
It features a hack function (second hand stop function) and a calendar function (with quick-set function).
Recommended for those looking for an easy-to-use manual-winding antique watch.
How to Operate
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in the normal position
Time setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate downwards
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out two clicks
Quick-set date: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards
Performing the quick-set operation when the watch is indicating '9 PM to 2 AM' will cause damage.
It is recommended to set the time to around 6 AM before quick-setting the date.
