This is the Seastar T12 from Tissot, a long-established brand founded in 1853.
Tissot is a brand that actively pursued the development of waterproof watches, developing a screw-down sealed structure in 1938.
In the 1950s, the "Seastar" series with enhanced water resistance was launched.
In 1956, the "Seastar T12" with 120m water resistance was released as an ultra-waterproof watch,
and in 1971, the "Seastar T12M" with 200m water resistance and a thicker case was released.
The origin of T12 is likely 120m water resistance, which translates to 12 atmospheres.
This was the performance at the time of its release, and antique models are not waterproof.
This is a Seastar T12 Date manufactured around 1965.
The case back features a screw-back design, engraved with a Spanish galleon ship, a symbol of the Seastar.
With a case width of 35.5mm, the case and bezel are mirror-finished, creating a simple yet elegant design.
The lugs have a straight design, giving it a stylish impression.
The dial has a sunray finish.
There are faint crosshairs.
The applied bar indices are silver-based with black lines.
At the 12 o'clock position, there is a silver-bordered applied brand logo, which adds a focal point to the dial design.
The crown is original Tissot, with a "T" logo.
The crown has a diameter of 5.7mm, making it easy to grip and operate.
How to operate
How to pull the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown, and move it like a lever.
Please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate upwards with the crown in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not stop.

Condition
This item has been overhauled and exterior polished by our store.
The strap has been replaced with a new Di-Modell leather strap.
There is some color transfer on the back.
Due to its old age, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
