商品説明
This is a Revue Thommen alarm watch, the "Cricket."
The "Cricket" is famous for being a model favored by past US presidents (such as Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th president).
Its alarm sound is said to resemble the chirping of a "cricket," earning it the nickname "Cricket (English name)," making it an interesting and talked-about model.
The dial features a full surface of straight geometric patterns.
This pattern, also used in the Cricket series, emits an elegant glow.
It has two mainsprings: one for the "alarm" and one for the "watch movement."
Operation
Setting the time: Pull the crown out two clicks and turn it downwards.
The hands move clockwise. (Counter-clockwise movement/time reversal is not possible.)
Winding the watch movement mainspring: With the crown in its normal position, turn it downwards.
Winding the alarm mainspring: With the crown in its normal position, turn it upwards.
Setting the alarm time: Lightly press the 2 o'clock button to pull the crown out one click, then push the 2 o'clock button all the way in to pull the crown out two clicks, and turn the crown upwards.
Pushing the 2 o'clock button all the way in at once will cause damage.
Please perform the button pressing operation in two steps.
The alarm hand inside the dial moves counter-clockwise. (Clockwise movement is not possible.)
Move the hand to the desired alarm time and return the crown to its normal position to turn the alarm ON.
Turning the alarm ON: Set the crown to its normal position.
Even if the alarm is ON, the alarm will not sound if the alarm mainspring is not wound.
When the alarm mainspring is not wound, the alarm hammer is free, and a rattling sound may be heard when shaking the watch, but this is normal.
Turning the alarm OFF: Lightly press the 2 o'clock button to pull the crown out one click.
Perform this operation even if you want to stop a sounding alarm.
In the state where "the button is pressed and the crown is pulled out one click," turning the crown will cause it to spin freely, but this is normal.
