商品説明
This is a 1960s automatic wristwatch from the high-end manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre.
The case is a 35.1mm diameter round model, featuring a mirror-finished bezel and a screw-down case back.
The crown is original to Jaeger-LeCoultre and features the JL logo.
The crystal and dial utilize a classic domed design. The tips of the minute and second hands are gently curved to harmonize with the crystal. By thinning the bezel around the outer edge of the crystal, the dial is expanded to create a design with a sense of depth.
The dial features a sunburst finish, with an applied "JL" logo and JAEGER-LECOULTRE at the 12 o'clock position, and AUTOMATIC and T SWISS MADE T markings at the 6 o'clock position.
The indices are grooves carved as if by a chisel, creating an intricate construction where the cross-section is clearly visible.
While many Jaeger-LeCoultre automatic watches from this era use bumper-style (half-rotor) movements, this model is equipped with the Cal. 881, a full-rotor automatic movement. The rotor features a cut-out design of the Jaeger-LeCoultre JL mark, which is a hallmark of the movement's appearance. It includes a manual-winding function for ease of use. For the shock protection system, the "Flower KIF" (Incabloc) is used, named for the flower-like shape of the spring. It is a compact design for an automatic movement, and the rotor spins smoothly.
Operation
How to pull out the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out; please pull gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently will reduce strain on the crown.
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate downwards.
Date quick-set: Pull out the crown and alternate between '11 PM and 12 AM'.
1) Move the hands until midnight (24:00).
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is noon.
2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 11 PM.
This prepares the calendar for the next day.
3) Advance the hands to 24:00.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
Repeating steps 1) through 3) allows you to quick-set the date day by day.
To reduce strain on the movement, please operate slowly.
Condition
The daily rate measured by a timegrapher (instantaneous rate during measurement) is as follows.
This is not a measurement taken over a 24-hour period.
Also, please consider this a reference value, as errors will occur depending on the amount of winding and usage environment.
Dial up: +5 seconds, 9 o'clock up: +17 seconds
The strap has been replaced with a new one by CASSIS, so you can use it with comfort.
There are some spotted stains on the dial, but it is in beautiful condition considering its age.
The crown is original and features the JL logo.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy days or during hot weather.
Please also be careful of shocks and magnetism.
