Rado Golden Horse 57 Jewels Ref. 11675, original bracelet, Cal. 1700/01 automatic, circa 1957.

This is a rare 57-jewel model of the Rado Golden Horse.
The 57-jewel model was a limited production run commemorating the birth of the Rado brand in 1957 and serves as the top-tier variant of the Golden Horse line.

The Golden Horse gained popularity as a Swiss-made automatic (with manual-winding capability) model featuring a water-resistant case (by the standards of the time).
A common feature of the Horse series is the seahorse—the icon of Rado's water-resistant cases—which appears on both the dial and the case back.

This particular piece features two facing seahorses on the dial and case back.
The screw-back case back is engraved with "Water-Sealed." (Please note that it is no longer water-resistant due to the age of the watch.)
 

The seahorse logo covers the majority of the case back.
It features an attractive design that combines mirror-polished and brushed finishes.

The Rado brand symbol, the anchor mark, is located at the 12 o'clock position on the dial. It moves occasionally.

The indices at the 12, 6, and 9 o'clock positions feature a rare wedge-shaped design.

Operation Instructions

Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.

Time setting: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate downwards.
Date quick-set: With the crown at the first click, alternate between 8:20 PM and 12:00 AM (24:00) to advance the date.

1) Advance the hands until midnight (24:00).
　　If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is noon.

2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 8:20 PM.
　　This prepares the mechanism to advance the calendar to the next day.

3) Advance the hands to midnight again.
　　Verify that the date has advanced by one day.

Repeat steps 1) through 3) to advance the date one day at a time.

Please operate slowly to reduce stress on the movement.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished.

The crown is original to Rado and features the anchor mark.
Manual winding operation is smooth.

The bracelet is original and can accommodate a wrist size up to 190mm.

The crystal has some minor scratches and linear marks that could not be removed through polishing, but the dial remains clearly visible.
The dial shows some aging, but its champagne-gold tone gives it a distinct vintage appeal.
There is a small crack on the bezel near the 7 o'clock position, but it does not affect wearability.

Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, be careful to avoid shocks and magnetic fields.
