商品説明
This is a rare solid 18K gold case "Lord Marvel" manufactured in 1961.
At the time, the price of the Lord Marvel was 9,800 yen for the stainless steel model, 12,800 yen for the gold-filled model, and 25,600 yen for the solid 18K gold model.
The Lord Marvel, which began production in May 1958, is a top-tier model that enhanced and improved the precision of the Marvel.
The jewel count of the movement was increased from 17 to 23 jewels.
The movement features elaborate finishing, such as engraved and mirror-polished ratchet wheels, and polished screws.
All of these techniques were inherited by the Grand Seiko, which began production in 1960.
This particular piece is an early version of the Lord Marvel.
The Seiko Lord Marvel logo on the dial is engraved with an elaborate finish.
The dial is a high-grade specification known as an "SD dial."
The indices are crafted from solid 18K or 14K gold.
The sun-like mark at the 6 o'clock position signifies an SD dial, and its elegant luster remains to this day.
The case is solid 18K gold.
It is a rare piece, as many Lord Marvels have gold-filled cases.
The case back features the rounded shape characteristic of the early models.
The lugs are long and mirror-polished.
The design gives the watch a sleek, vertical look.
As solid 18K gold is softer than stainless steel, we recommend not tightening the strap too much to avoid putting excessive stress on the lugs.
Recommended for those seeking a simple and elegant antique watch.
Operation
Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position
How to pull the crown: Gently pull it out by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently reduces the burden on the crown.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate counter-clockwise
The second hand does not stop

The dial shows some aging, scratches, and stains.
Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
