商品説明
This is a 1963 Omega Constellation, Ref. 168.001.
The Ref. 168.001 is a big case model with a case diameter of 36.8mm.
It is larger and has more presence than other Constellation models from the same period.
Big cases were used in Ref. 14777 and Ref. 168.001.
Ref. 168.001 was manufactured for the Asian market, making it a rare model with a limited number of existing pieces.
The dial has aged overall, giving it a champagne gold hue.
The dial is domed, creating a three-dimensional effect and beautiful shadows, adding to its luxurious feel.
At the 12 o'clock position on the dial, there is the inscription "CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED," which is proof of chronometer certification by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (C.O.S.C.).
It features an elegant and refined design with applied bar indexes and Dauphine hands.
The case back is a screw-back type, and the golden observatory logo remains in good condition.
Constellations with a golden observatory logo are relatively rare, making this a special piece.
The movement installed is the "Caliber 561."
This is a chronometer-certified movement adopted in the high-end "Constellation" model.
It features Omega's distinctive rose gold plating, exuding the elegance of a high-end movement.
This model is recommended for those looking for a vintage Omega that is simple yet distinctive.
How to Operate Caliber 561
The "Caliber 561" does not inherently have a quick-set date function like the "Caliber 564."
Manual winding: Turn the crown upwards in the normal position
Time setting: Pull the crown out one step and turn it downwards
Quick-set date: Pull the crown out one step and cycle the time between '9 PM and 12 AM' for time setting
1) Move the hands until 12 AM (24:00).
If the date changes, it is 12 AM. If it does not change, it is 12 PM.
2) Once you confirm the date has changed, move the hands back to 9 PM.
This prepares the watch to display the next day's calendar.
3) Advance the hands to 12 AM.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
Repeat steps 1) to 3) to advance the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce the burden on the movement.
