商品説明
This is a 1963 Seamaster, Ref.166.009.
With its elegant case design, this model still looks modern even after half a century.
The case back features a screw-back design, with the Seamaster symbol, the seahorse logo and Ω mark.
The crown surface is engraved with the 'Ω' mark.
It is equipped with the 'Caliber 562' movement.
The Cal.562 is a full-rotor automatic winding movement developed in 1959, which added a date display to the Cal.550.
It features the same fine adjustment mechanism for the regulator as the Cal.561 (chronometer movement).
It is a 24-jewel specification to facilitate accuracy adjustment and prevent component wear.
The dial has a radial finish.
It features applied indexes and crosshairs.
Most Seamaster models have bar indexes, but this model features relatively rare bullet indexes.
The hands are "Dauphine hands", shaped like the tip of a fountain pen nib.
Recommended for those looking for an elegant antique Omega.
How to Operate Caliber 562
How to pull out the crown: Gently pull out the crown by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come off. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist when operating.
Gentle operation reduces stress on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate upwards with the crown in the normal position
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate downwards
The second hand does not stop (originally no hacking function)
Date quick-set: Pull out the crown and move the hands back and forth between '9 PM and 12 AM' during time setting.
1) Move the hands to 12 o'clock.
If the date changes, it is 12 AM. If it doesn't change, it is 12 PM.
2) When the hands are moved to 12 AM, the next date will be displayed. Then, return the hands to 9 PM.
3) Advance the hands to 12 AM.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating this, you can quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce stress on the movement.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The original bracelet is sufficiently long and can accommodate a wrist size up to 190mm.
The crystal is in good condition with no noticeable scratches.
The original crown operates smoothly.
The dial shows some discoloration.
The hands have some dullness.
There is a faint crack on the bezel edge at 3 o'clock.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Do not use it in damp environments (rainy days, washing your face, wearing on hot days when you sweat, etc.).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops and strong impacts.
Also, please be careful not to bring it close to strong magnetic sources such as smartphones, PCs, or bag clasps with magnets.
