商品説明
This is a Zenith manual-winding "Sport" model manufactured in the 1970s. It features a robust tonneau-shaped case, characteristic of the era, where practicality and aesthetic beauty coexist in perfect balance.
The exterior finish predominantly features a wide hairline brushed finish from the front to the sides. By applying a thin mirror polish only to the edges, it achieves a composition that accentuates sharp contours within a calm texture.
The silver sunray-finished dial is adorned with highly legible bar indexes and the traditional "☆ (star)" logo. It presents a neat and refined appearance that blends well with modern styles, while still retaining an antique charm.
The crown still bears the rare "double Z" logo, which was seen from the 1960s to the 1970s. This design, where two "Z"s intersect at right angles, forms a sharp four-pointed star, an important detail that tells the story of Zenith's design history leading to the current star-shaped logo.
Inside, it is equipped with the in-house manual-winding movement Cal.2562, a high-beat movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The smooth movement of the second hand, produced by the high vibration, is a testament to the precision Zenith pursued at the time.
The clean dial balance, characteristic of a non-date model, is also appealing. This watch is ideal for those who wish to enjoy Zenith's unique atmosphere as an accent to their daily attire.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and its exterior has been refinished.
The watch is fitted with a new CASSIS PARIS strap. Made of Italian leather, it has undergone a traditional dyeing process called "Patine", characterized by unique shading created by artisans' handwork and a deep, well-worn texture. Its supple feel further enhances the antique charm of the watch itself.
The case has minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing, and a ding on the side at 8 o'clock.
The crystal has only minor scuffs, and time readability is excellent.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Strict avoidance of wet environments (rainy days, washing face, wearing in hot weather with sweating, etc.) is required.
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops or strong impacts.
Also, please avoid bringing it near strong magnetic sources such as smartphones, PCs, or bag clasps with magnets.
How to Operate
Manual Winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not stop.
