商品説明
This is a Seiko Crown Special from 1962.
The Crown Special was a high-end model developed based on the Grand Seiko First model.
At the time, the Grand Seiko First cost 25,000 yen, the Crown Special gold-filled (80 microns) was 10,500 yen, and the stainless steel model was 7,000 yen.
It can be said that this model had an excellent balance between product grade and selling price.
The dial features a sunburst finish, creating beautiful shadows depending on the angle of the light.
The indices are "AD dial" specifications, finished with hard gold plating that is resistant to discoloration.
The hands are powerful dauphine hands, giving it a strong presence.
The case is 14K gold-filled (80 microns), which was a high-end specification at the time.
It has a thickness that sets it apart from modern plating, allowing you to enjoy a substantial texture similar to solid gold.
The movement installed is the Cal.341.
This movement was the base for the Cal.3180 used in the Grand Seiko First, and it is also equipped with a hacking seconds function.

Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The crystal is free of scratches and is in very clean condition.
The strap has been replaced with a new Seiko genuine leather strap, ensuring comfortable use.
On the dial, several pinpoint spots of discoloration due to age can be seen.
This condition can be enjoyed as a characteristic vintage aesthetic.
The crown shows some wear but operates smoothly.
As this is a vintage watch that has been manufactured years ago, it is not waterproof. Avoid using it in environments with a lot of moisture (rainy days, while washing your face, wearing it on hot days when you sweat, etc.).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops, strong impacts, and magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, etc.).
How to operate
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position
To wind the mainspring, slowly and carefully rotate the crown upwards.
At the start of winding, the crown may feel light when turned, but it will become heavier as it winds up.
For manual-winding watches, forcing the winding when it's fully wound can break the mainspring. Please be careful.
How to pull out the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to detach. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Gentle operation reduces strain on the crown.
