商品説明
This is a 1977 Seiko pocket watch.
The movement is the Cal.5740C, which was used in Japan's first 10-beat wristwatch, the "Lord Marvel 36000".
The Cal.5740C is a high-beat specification based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal.5740B", with the balance wheel's oscillation frequency increased to 36,000 beats (10 beats per second), characterized by a smoother second hand movement than conventional models.
The "Lord Marvel 36000" was Japan's first 10-beat wristwatch.
It is a high-grade model that incorporated and commercialized Seiko's world-leading high-beat technology for the first time in a mass-produced watch, after Seiko achieved a historic feat at the 1968 Geneva Concours, virtually dominating the top spots (4th to 10th place) for mechanical watches.
The case is gold-plated (ASGP).
With a case width of 38.4mm, it is a relatively small size for a pocket watch.
The dial is white, with Arabic numeral indices and three black hands.
The dial design is simple and highly legible.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
Crystal: Polished. There are minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing, but they do not impair visibility.
Dial: No noticeable deterioration or discoloration, maintaining a clear condition.
Case/Case Back: There are scuffs and minor scratches throughout. Please check the photos as there are several dents (recesses) on the case back.
Crown/Bow: There are scuffs.
Not waterproof
Due to its age, it is not waterproof. Please avoid using it with water, moisture, or sweat.
As it is a precision instrument, please also be careful of strong impacts and magnetism.
How to operate Caliber 5740C
Manual winding: Turn the crown counter-clockwise in the normal position.
When winding the mainspring, turn the crown slowly and carefully.
At the beginning of winding, the crown may feel light when turned, but it will become heavier as it winds up.
For manual winding watches, forcing the crown when it is fully wound can break the mainspring. Please be careful.
How to pull the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come off. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Gentle operation can reduce the burden on the crown.
Time setting: Pull the crown and turn it clockwise.
