商品説明
This is Rado's DAY-NIGHT, Ref.11846.
Its most distinctive feature is the "bicolor" design, with the dial split into silver and black halves. As the name suggests, it is a rare model overflowing with the playful spirit characteristic of vintage Rado, as if expressing day and night.
With a case width of 37.7mm, it is large for a vintage watch of its time, and its appeal lies in its powerful "blocky" design, as if carved from a solid block of metal. The thick, robust case silhouette, boldly protruding from a 19mm lug width, gives it an overwhelming presence on the wrist.
The back cover features the seahorse, an icon of Rado's waterproof cases.
The screw-back case bears the engraving "Water-Sealed."
The Rado brand symbol, the "anchor mark," is located at the 12 o'clock position on the dial, and the crown also features the Rado mark.
This model is appealing for its thick, robust lugs and its unique dial design.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The band has been replaced with a new one (Bambi brand). We chose a khaki-colored leather that matches the dial's color scheme, so you can enjoy it with its unique atmosphere.
Due to age, the anchor mark at the 12 o'clock position on the dial is now mostly immobile.
While there are scuffs and minor scratches on the case due to age, they do not detract from the original form or design, and it is in good condition.
The crystal is genuine Rado, with an anchor mark watermark in the center. Some minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing remain, and there are some scuffs and linear scratches on the edge at the 4 o'clock position.
Due to its age, it is not waterproof. Do not use it in damp environments (e.g., on rainy days, when washing your face, or when sweating on hot days).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful about dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts. Also, please keep it away from strong magnetic sources such as smartphones, PCs, or clasps with magnets.
Operating Caliber AS1858
How to pull out the crown: Gently pull it out by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown from the back.
Since the crown is recessed into the case, it is easier to operate by pushing a fingernail between the case and the crown from the back (like a lever).
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate it upwards.
Quick date change: Pull out the crown and move the hands back and forth between "8:10 PM and 12 AM" when setting the time.
1) Move the hands to 12 AM (midnight).
If the date changes, it is 12 AM. If it does not change, it is 12 PM.
2) Once you confirm the date has changed, move the hands back to 8:10 PM.
This prepares the calendar to display the next day's date.
3) Advance the hands to 12 AM.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating steps 1) to 3), you can quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce stress on the movement.
