商品説明
King Seiko is a series positioned at the highest rank, alongside Seiko's premium model "Grand Seiko," and was manufactured until the 1970s.
This is a King Seiko "VANAC" (Ref. 5626-7210).
The Vanac is characterized by its fashionable appearance, featuring faceted glass and colorful dials.
With a wide variety of facets in the cut glass and dial color variations, it is rare to find identical designs and conditions in circulation, making them quite rare.
This particular piece features a vibrant blue-green dial with "9-facet cut glass."
The dial surface boasts a beautiful radial sunray finish, which, despite being a single color, displays a rich gradient of shades depending on the angle of light.
Furthermore, the greatest highlight is the synergistic effect with the slightly purple-tinted cut glass, which is original to the Vanac. As light passes through and refracts through this unique glass, you can enjoy a visual effect that dramatically changes its expression to purple, much like an alexandrite, depending on the angle.
While its outstanding design is eye-catching, its performance as a watch is also top-notch.
It is equipped with the 56 series (Cal. 5626B), King Seiko's third-generation movement.
It features automatic winding with manual winding capability, a hacking seconds function, and a quick-set date and day function, making it highly practical.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
To prioritize the sharp "edges" of the multi-faceted case from that era, excessive external finishing (polishing) has not been performed. Therefore, there are minor scuffs and small scratches on the case and case back due to age, but it is in excellent condition, maintaining its sharp original shape, close to unpolished.
The bracelet is a very rare original genuine stainless steel bracelet with the "VANAC" logo engraved (FF engraving: XAB 521). It has minimal stretching and can accommodate wrist sizes up to 180mm (including extension plate).
The crown is engraved with "KS" for King Seiko.
The cut glass has minor scratches, but the dial visibility is good.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Strict avoidance of use in wet environments (rainy days, washing face, wearing on hot days with sweat, etc.) is essential.
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be very careful about strong impacts such as drops, and magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
How to Operate
Manual Winding: Rotate the crown upwards in the normal position.Time Setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate downwards.
Date Quick Set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards.
Day Quick Set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate upwards (changes from English to Japanese).
It is recommended to set the time to around 6 AM/PM before performing the quick set.
