商品説明
This is the second model of the King Seiko, the non-date "44-9990" introduced in 1964.
The King Seiko was a series positioned at the very top alongside Seiko's premier "Grand Seiko" line, and was manufactured until the 1970s.
The second model features a hacking function (second-hand stop mechanism) that was omitted in the first model.
Practicality was improved by adopting a screw-down case back (stainless steel models only).
This particular piece is a late-production version of the second model.
The case back medallion design for the second model was changed in stages.
Early versions featured the King Seiko "shield mark," which was changed around 1967 to a simpler design featuring only "SEIKO."
This piece is a final-production model manufactured in July 1968, featuring the Kameido (Daini Seikosha) mark below the SEIKO logo.

Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The dial has aged beautifully to a color slightly resembling champagne gold, giving it a very elegant appearance unique to vintage watches. Overall, it remains clean and in excellent condition considering its age, with the cut edges of the hands and indices retaining a beautiful shine.
It is fitted with a brand-new genuine Seiko cowhide leather strap, ensuring a comfortable fit.
The crystal has some minor scratches that could not be removed through polishing, but dial visibility remains good.
The crown is the original version featuring the W SEIKO logo.
The grooves of the crown show no wear and remain very sharp, allowing for comfortable operation.
When pulling out the crown, inserting your fingernail between the case and the crown will allow you to pull it out without applying excessive force.
The medallion on the case back shows slight signs of deterioration at the ends of the "I" and "K" in "SEIKO," but there is no major peeling or conspicuous corrosion, and the engravings remain very crisp and in good condition.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy days, during the rainy season, or in the summer.
Additionally, please be careful of shocks and magnetism (smartphones, PCs, magnets in bags, etc.).
Operation
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise in the normal crown position.
How to pull out the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate counter-clockwise.
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out.
