商品説明

This is a Lord Marvel 36000 manufactured in 1976.

Lord Marvel was a high-end hand-wound wristwatch manufactured for approximately 20 years, starting in the late 1950s.
It was positioned between the Grand Seiko and the Crown Special models.

The Lord Marvel 36000 is the first Japanese-made 10-beat wristwatch.
It is a high-end timepiece that, for the first time, brought to the mass market the world-class high-beat technology Seiko used to achieve the historic feat at the 1968 Geneva Observatory competition, where its mechanical watches effectively took the top spots (dominating 4th through 10th place).

The movement is the hand-wound "Cal. 5740C."
Based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal. 5740B," it is a high-beat model with the balance frequency increased to 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second). The extremely smooth movement of the second hand, characteristic of a high-beat watch, along with its pleasant operating sound, is the greatest pleasure of this model.

The case is made of stainless steel and features a screw-back case design.
It is characterized by its powerful, sharp-edged lug design, typical of 1970s models. It features the "WATER RESISTANT" engraving on the case back, which is the specification for the final production phase of the Lord Marvel.

The dial has a sunray finish that gives off an elegant luster depending on the angle of the light. The No-Date, bar index specification accentuates the perfected functional beauty of the Lord Marvel.

It remains in a very clear and beautiful condition, with almost none of the staining or moisture-related degradation often seen on vintage silver dials.

This is a highly practical vintage watch recommended for those who want to enjoy the charm of a high-beat movement in their daily life.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.

The strap has been replaced with a brand-new genuine Seiko leather strap (current production), so you can wear it with comfort.

The crown operates smoothly.
Although there are fine surface scratches and scuffs on the case and case back that could not be removed by polishing, the original sharp form remains intact. The engraving on the case back is also clear.
The crystal is clean with no noticeable scratches.
There is no visible rust, corrosion, or discoloration on the dial, hands, or indices, and visibility remains excellent.

Because this is an older watch, it is not waterproof. Use in environments with high moisture (such as on rainy days, when washing your face, or on hot days where you may sweat) is strictly prohibited.
Additionally, as it is a precision instrument, please take great care to avoid strong impacts such as drops, and keep it away from magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, magnets in bags, etc.).

How to operate the Caliber 5740C

Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position

To wind the mainspring, please turn the crown slowly and carefully in the upward direction.
It will feel light when you start winding, but it will become heavier as it reaches full wind.
Please be careful; if you continue to wind a hand-wound watch past the point of resistance, the mainspring may break.

How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out

Pulling the crown with excessive force may cause it to detach, so please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.

Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate counter-clockwise
