商品説明
1974 model 56 King Seiko faceted crystal model, Ref. 5626-7200.
Known alongside the "Grand Seiko" as one of the pinnacles of Seiko, the 56 King Seiko, manufactured in the 1970s, gained popularity as the brand's first automatic high-beat model.
This particular piece features a beautiful three-dimensional faceted crystal and a green gradient dial that changes its deep expression depending on the lighting. Furthermore, the dial has a delicate vertical hairline (silk-like pattern), which gives off a beautiful luster depending on the viewing angle.
Faceted crystal models, symbolic of the 1970s, often have noticeable scratches on their protruding surfaces; however, this piece remains in excellent condition, with no visible scratches on the glass and the edges still sharply defined. While the dial shows minor, inconspicuous spotting due to aging and some film lifting along the outer edge at the 5 o'clock position, it does not significantly detract from its visibility to the naked eye or its vintage atmosphere, making this a rare piece that retains its original character.
Equipped with the third-generation 56-series movement, it features automatic winding, hand-winding, a hacking function (second-hand stop), and a quick-set date/day function, making it a highly practical watch for daily use.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and externally polished.
Although the Ref. 5626-7200 was originally sold with a leather strap, this piece is fitted with a later-year genuine SEIKO stainless steel bracelet. The buckle is engraved with "SEIKO," and it complements the sharp case design exceptionally well.
The crown features the "KS" engraving specific to King Seiko.
The case back is a screw-back type. The serial number indicates that it was manufactured in January 1974.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not water-resistant. Do not use it in environments with high moisture (such as rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid strong impacts such as drops and keep it away from magnets (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
