This is a Citizen Seven Star Deluxe model featuring a black mirror dial.
It is a slim automatic model with day-date functionality, characterized by its edgy, substantial case and the unique presence only a vintage timepiece with such linear design can offer.
The dial features the highly sought-after black mirror (black lacquer-style gloss) finish. A "Seven" (7) badge logo is applied as an upright emblem at the 6 o'clock position, and the distinctive home-plate (pentagonal) three-dimensional indices further accentuate its sharp look.
The crown is engraved with the "CTZ" mark.
The case is built to the specifications of the "Para Water," the first fully waterproof case developed in Japan by the company.
It utilizes gaskets on the crystal rim, case back, and crown—the foundation of modern waterproof watches—to achieve high water-resistance for its time.
(*Note: This refers to its performance at the time of manufacture; it is currently non-waterproof. Please be careful to keep it away from moisture.)
The watch is fitted with a brand-new, genuine leather strap by MORELLATO that complements the glossy black dial, allowing you to enjoy the look of a chic and refined vintage watch.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
【Dial/Hands】There are faint scratches, pinpoint deterioration on the inner ring, and age-related dullness or deterioration on the hands. However, to the naked eye, the beautiful luster characteristic of a mirror dial remains intact, and this does not detract from the vintage atmosphere.
【Case/Case back】While there are scuffs and light scratches consistent with its age, the edges and linear cuts of the case remain sharp, and the "PARA WATER" and "SEVEN STAR" engravings on the case back remain clearly visible, maintaining good overall condition.
【Crystal】There are no major noticeable scratches, and visibility is good.
As this is an old timepiece, it is non-waterproof. Avoid wearing it in environments exposed to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
As it is a precision instrument, please avoid drops and strong impacts.
Additionally, please keep it away from objects that emit strong magnetic fields, such as smartphones, PCs, and magnetic fasteners on bags.
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise (the second hand will stop).
Date Quick-set: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate clockwise.
Performing a quick-set operation while the watch displays a time between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM may cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6:00 before performing the quick-set operation.
Day of the Week Quick-set: Pull the crown out to the second click and toggle between 7:30 PM and 1:00 AM while setting the time.
1) Advance the hands until 1:00 AM.
If the day begins to change, it is midnight. If it does not change, it is noon.
2) Advance the hands to 1:00 AM to display the next day of the week. Then, move the hands back to 7:30 PM.
This prepares the calendar for the next day. (When moving the hands backward, the display may appear as FRI → FRI.)
3) Advance the hands to 1:00 AM.
Confirm that the day of the week has advanced by one day.
Repeat this process to advance the day of the week one by one.
Please operate slowly to reduce the burden on the movement.
