商品説明
This is a 1974 Seiko pocket watch.
It is equipped with the Cal.5740C movement, which was adopted for the "Lord Marvel 36000," the first Japanese-made 10-beat wristwatch.
The Cal.5740C is a high-beat specification based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal.5740B" that increased the balance frequency to 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second), characterized by a smoother second hand movement than conventional models.
The "Lord Marvel 36000" is the first Japanese-made 10-beat wristwatch.
It is a high-grade timepiece that first introduced and commercialized the world-class high-beat technology that allowed Seiko to achieve a historic feat at the 1968 Geneva Observatory Competition, effectively ranking at the top among mechanical watches (sweeping 4th through 10th places).
The case is made of stainless steel.
With a case width of 38.4mm, it is on the smaller side for a pocket watch.
The dial is silver, featuring Roman numeral indices and three black hands.
It has a simple, highly legible dial design.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior finished.
The crystal has been polished.
There are minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing, but they do not affect the legibility of the dial.
The dial shows some minor signs of aging around the outer edge, but it remains in relatively good condition overall.
There are signs of corrosion and dark spots on the inside of the bow (the loop at the top).
The case has light scuffs and scratches.
The case back has light scuffs and linear scratches.
This is a non-waterproof model.
Strictly avoid using it in environments where it may be exposed to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or wearing it on hot, sweaty days).
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be very careful regarding strong impacts such as drops, as well as magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
How to operate the Caliber 5740C
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, turn it clockwise
Please turn the crown slowly and carefully to wind the mainspring.
It will feel light when you begin winding, but will become heavier as the mainspring is fully wound.
For manual-wind watches, forcing the crown once it has reached the stopping point can break the mainspring. Please be careful.
How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown stem from bending, please operate it with the watch placed on a surface or hold it firmly with both hands.
Operating it gently reduces the burden on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and turn it clockwise
