商品説明
This is a 1969 Citizen Homer.
This is the coveted "National Railway watch," originally issued to employees of the Japanese National Railways (JNR).
The case back clearly bears the rare, original issue engraving: "昭44 中支 265 国鉄" (Showa 44, Central Regional Office, No. 265, Japanese National Railways).
Its appeal lies in a timeless, highly practical design featuring beautiful, highly legible Arabic numerals.
The movement is a reliable 21-jewel manual-wind caliber. True to its roots as a high-precision railway timepiece, it features a hacking function (second-hand stop mechanism).
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new genuine leather one, so you can enjoy wearing it right away.
【Regarding the dial and hands】
Due to aging, the dial shows characteristic vintage "paint deterioration" (bubbling and spot-like wear) spreading across the lower half from the center. Additionally, there is some peeling of the luminous paint on the minute hand.
These features are unique signs of aging that can be appreciated as a mark of authenticity from a watch that survived the rigorous duties of the National Railways. While practical legibility is maintained, please review the detailed images carefully before making your purchase.
【Regarding the case and case back】
The exterior has been refinished and appears clean overall, but as this is a vintage item, there are minor scratches and dullness that could not be fully removed. The issue engraving on the case back remains in good, readable condition.
As this is an old vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Do not wear it in environments with moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
Also, as this is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid strong impacts such as dropping it, and keep it away from magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
Instructions
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, wind upwards.
How to pull the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown, and lever it outward.
Please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate downwards.
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out (hacking function).
