Among Rado's Horse series, it is this Green Horse that commands such a dedicated following. Its most prominent feature is the use of a 37.2mm "king-size" case, which is one size larger than typical vintage watches. Compared to the 34mm standard of that era, its appealing size and presence feel right at home with contemporary attire.
Three models were released in the Horse series: the Golden Horse, the Green Horse, and the Purple Horse.
They gained popularity as Swiss-made automatic (with manual-winding mechanism) models with water-resistant cases (by the standards of the time).
The Green Horse is characterized by the green seahorse on the dial, making it a rare model with limited circulation.

At first glance, it appears to be a simple silver dial, but it features an incredibly elaborate design divided by a cross-line, with the [top-left and bottom-right featuring a concentric record finish] and the [top-right and bottom-left featuring a beautiful sunray finish]. The shading changes dramatically depending on the angle of light, giving it a unique presence that only a vintage watch can offer, unlike anything found in modern timepieces.
Furthermore, the entire dial has aged uniformly into a beautiful champagne gold hue, creating an exceptional and one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
The Rado brand symbol, the "anchor logo," is placed at the 12 o'clock position on the dial. This occasionally rotates as your wrist moves, allowing you to enjoy a playful gimmick unique to vintage Rado watches.
The screw-back case back features a "Water-Sealed" engraving. (As this is an old-model watch, please use it as non-waterproof.)
The seahorse logo is featured in a size that occupies most of the case back.
It is finished with a well-executed design combining mirror polishing and matte (satin) finishing.
The crown is 5.2mm in diameter, making it easy to grip with your fingers and convenient for manual winding and time setting.

Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The crystal is in excellent condition with only light scuffs, which does not hinder the visibility of the beautiful, unique dial.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new genuine leather strap (black) from Di-MODELL, a long-established German manufacturer, so you can wear it with comfort.
The crown is genuine Rado with the "R" mark.
There is a thin crack on the edge of the bezel at the 8 o'clock position due to aging, but this does not affect its use or wearability. Please enjoy it as part of the unique character of a vintage piece.
As this is an older vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Use in environments with high moisture (rainy days, washing your face, wearing it on hot, sweaty days, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
Also, as this is a precision instrument, please be very careful regarding strong impacts such as drops, as well as magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, magnets in bags, etc.).
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Turn clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Time Setting: Pull out the crown and turn counter-clockwise.
Date Quick-Set: Pull out the crown and oscillate between "8:20 PM and 12:00 AM" by moving the hands back and forth.
1) Move the hands forward until 12:00 midnight.
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is 12:00 noon.
2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 8:20 PM.
This prepares the watch to advance the calendar to the next day.
3) Advance the hands to 12:00 midnight.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating steps 1) through 3), you can quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please perform these operations slowly to reduce the strain on the movement.
