A 56 King Seiko automatic watch manufactured in 1974. At the time, this was a high-end model that stood alongside the Grand Seiko as one of the brand's premier offerings. This particular piece is a rare non-date model that highlights the elegant symmetry of the dial.
A major feature of this piece is its champagne gold dial, which has aged beautifully over more than half a century. The original silver dial has aged uniformly, exuding the warmth and distinction unique to vintage timepieces. It is remarkably free of the stains and peripheral paint peeling often seen on 56KS models, maintaining an incredibly clean condition that retains the luster of the original sunray finish.
The case back is a screw-back (SEIKO engraved) type, making it easy to use daily without worrying about the loss of a medallion. The crown retains its original KS engraving, and the case edges remain sharp and well-defined. It is a piece that can be called the definitive 56KS, combining functional beauty with practicality.

Exterior and Condition
The watch maintains "good condition," with excessive polishing avoided to ensure the original sharp case lines are not compromised.
The glass is in very clear condition with no noticeable scratches that would impair visibility.
There are minor fine scratches on the case and a slight trace of adhesive on the edge of the glass near the 8 o'clock position. These have been left as-is to preserve the original condition, prioritizing the texture and integrity of the case edges over aggressive polishing or correction. Combined with the beauty of the dial, this piece balances vintage character with reliability.
Strap
It has been fitted with a brand-new genuine SEIKO cowhide leather strap (with buckle), so it is ready to wear immediately.
Water Resistance and Handling
Please treat this watch as non-waterproof, as many years have passed since its manufacture. Please be careful to avoid exposure to moisture, strong shocks, and magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, magnets in bags, etc.).
Operation
Hand-winding: With the crown in the normal position, turn clockwise (upward).
Time setting: Pull the crown out one click and turn (features a hacking function: the second hand stops).
