商品説明
This is a high-grade model of the Omega Constellation C-Line.
This particular piece features a beautiful coin-edge bezel made of yellow gold and a silk-patterned dial.
The C-Line refers to a case design by the master of watch design, Gerald Genta.
It is famous as one of his greatest masterpieces.
It is characterized by a beautiful, flowing design where the case and lugs are integrated, maintaining a modern impression even after nearly half a century.
The CD168.027 features a CAP GOLD case.
A very thick layer of gold is bonded over a stainless steel case.
Cap gold is a specification seen in high-end goods up until the 1960s.
It is characterized by a thicker layer of gold than gold plating or gold-filled methods.
The case back is made of stainless steel and is a screw-back type.
It features the observatory emblem, the symbol of the Constellation.
Constellation models with the gold observatory logo are relatively rare, giving them a special appeal.
The crown bears the 'Ω' mark engraved on its surface.
The dial features a diagonal silk pattern and a gloss finish, creating a beautiful luster depending on the angle of the light.
At the 12 o'clock position, there is the 'CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED' inscription, proof of chronometer certification by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (C.O.S.C.).
At the 6 o'clock position, the Constellation's symbol, a ☆ star mark, is applied, serving as an accent to the dial design.
It is powered by the 'Caliber 564' movement.
This renowned chronometer-certified caliber was used exclusively in high-end machines in the lineup at the time.
The movement features an engraving that reads 'ADJUSTED FIVE (5) POSITIONS AND TEMPERATURE', indicating it has been adjusted for five positions and temperature variations.
The entire movement is finished in red gold plating, exuding the dignity of a high-end timepiece.
We highly recommend this for those seeking an elegant vintage Omega.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The strap is a brand-new cowhide leather strap made by CASSIS, ensuring a comfortable fit. The buckle is an original Omega gold-plated model.
[Regarding the exterior, dial, and hands]
The dial, crystal, and crown are in good condition, and visibility is excellent.
There is some peeling of the cap gold at the tips of the case lugs.
All three hands (hour, minute, and second) show slight tarnishing.
Additionally, the luminous material in the slit (window) of the minute hand is missing, showing traces of repair with black paint and a slight distortion (none of which are noticeable to the naked eye).
[Regarding operation and manual winding]
You may feel a gritty sensation (or hear a sound) when the gears engage during manual winding, but the winding resistance itself is smooth and there are no functional issues. You can use it daily with peace of mind.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Do not use it in environments with high moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
Because it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops and strong impacts. Also, please keep it away from items that emit strong magnetism, such as smartphones, PCs, or magnets on bag clasps.
How to operate the Caliber 564
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate upwards in the standard crown position.
Setting the time: Pull the crown to the first click and rotate downwards.
Quick-setting the date: Pull the crown to the second click.
To advance the date continuously, alternate between the second click position and the first click position of the crown.
Performing the quick-set operation while the watch displays a time between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM will cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before performing the quick-set.
