商品説明
This is a Lord Marvel model with Arabic numerals from 1975.
The Lord Marvel was a high-end hand-wound wristwatch produced for approximately 20 years starting in the late 1950s.
It was positioned between the Grand Seiko and the Crown Special.
The Lord Marvel 36000 is the first Japanese-made 10-beat wristwatch.
It is a luxury timepiece that incorporated and commercialized the world-class high-beat technology that allowed Seiko to achieve a historic feat at the 1968 Geneva Observatory competition, where its mechanical watches effectively dominated the top rankings (sweeping 4th to 10th place).
It is equipped with the hand-wound "Cal.5740C" movement.
Based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal.5740B," it is a high-beat version with the balance frequency increased to 36,000 vibrations (10 beats per second).
It features a smoother second-hand movement than previous models.
The case is made of stainless steel with a screw-back case cover.
The case is designed with long lugs, creating a sleek look that emphasizes vertical lines.
The dial features a silk-textured pattern, with a grid-like pattern that emerges along with a luster depending on the angle of the light.
It has a clean, three-hand, no-date dial design.
Recommended for those looking for a simple and elegant vintage watch.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
It is fitted with a brand-new Seiko cowhide leather strap.
The exterior has been maintained while avoiding excessive polishing to preserve its original edges.
The dial has tiny, barely noticeable dot-like stains to the naked eye and some wear on the outer rim, but the overall silk texture is beautifully preserved.
The crystal has been polished and maintains good visibility without any deep, noticeable scratches.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Use in environments with high moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or wearing it on hot, sweaty days) is strictly prohibited.
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be very careful to avoid strong impacts such as drops and exposure to magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
How to operate Caliber 5740C
Hand-winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position
To wind the mainspring, please turn the crown upward slowly and carefully.
Winding will feel light at first, but it will become heavier as the spring reaches full tension.
Please be careful, as forcing a hand-wound watch to wind further once it has reached the stop point can cause the mainspring to break.
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out completely, so please pull it gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Gentle operation will help reduce stress on the crown.
Time adjustment: Pull the crown and rotate it downwards
