商品説明
This is a 1966 automatic model from "IWC".
The "International Watch Co." branding in script at the 12 o'clock position evokes the dignified atmosphere unique to "Old Inter" timepieces.
In addition to the original sunray finish (fine radial graining), the dial has aged beautifully into a warm champagne-gold color, offering the deep, character-rich appearance characteristic of vintage watches.
The three-dimensional pearl-dot indices along the outer edge of the dial also remain in beautiful condition, free of fading or damage.
The dial features sharp, raised baton indices and three-dimensional baton hands with a tapered base, creating a sense of refined elegance through a minimalist, pared-back design.
The case features a classic round form, with lugs characterized by three beautiful facets.
This particular piece does not show signs of excessive polishing and maintains a magnificent form, with the edges of the lugs and the satin finish on the case back remaining remarkably crisp.
The crown is an original IWC "fish mark" version.
It is powered by the legendary Pellaton automatic movement, the "Cal. 854".
Compared to its predecessor, the Cal. 853, this movement was designed to be thinner and includes a manual-winding function.
As a non-date model, you can not only enjoy the symmetrical beauty of the dial but also use the watch casually without the need to adjust the date.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
【Case/Exterior】
The case surface and lug facets retain sharp contours, maintaining a very good form for a vintage watch.
While there are minor, age-appropriate scuffs and scratches from use, there are no major dents or damage that would detract from its beauty, and it remains in excellent condition.
【Dial/Hands】
The dial has aged into an elegant champagne-gold color. There are no noticeable stains, damage, or corrosion on the outer edges, and it maintains a very pleasing tone.
The watch is fitted with a brand-new leather strap by Morellato (*the buckle is an aftermarket part).
Crown operation and the winding action are smooth and in good working order.
Please note that as this is a vintage watch, it is not water-resistant.
Avoid use in environments with moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid drops or strong impacts.
Also, keep the watch away from items that emit strong magnetic fields, such as smartphones, PCs, or magnetic bag clasps.
Operating the Cal. 854
How to pull the crown: Press a fingernail between the case and the crown and use it like a lever.
When pulling the crown, it is easier to do so with the watch off your wrist by pressing your nail into the gap between the case and the crown from the back side.
Operating it gently will reduce stress on the crown.
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
Time setting: Pull the crown out and rotate upwards (no hacking function).
The second hand does not stop.
