This is a Lord Marvel 36000 manufactured in 1973.
The Lord Marvel was a high-end manual-winding watch produced for approximately 20 years, beginning in the late 1950s.
It was positioned between the Grand Seiko and the Crown Special.
The "Lord Marvel 36000" was the first Japanese-made watch to feature a 10-beat movement.
It is a high-grade timepiece that brought the world-class high-beat technology—which Seiko first utilized to achieve a historic feat at the 1968 Geneva Observatory competition by essentially topping the field (sweeping 4th through 10th places) as a mechanical watch—to a commercially available model for the first time.
The movement is the manual-winding "Cal. 5740C."
Based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal. 5740B," it features a high-beat specification with the balance frequency increased to 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second). The extremely smooth sweep of the second hand and the pleasant ticking sound, unique to high-beat models, are the greatest highlights of this piece.
The case is made of stainless steel, and the case back is a screw-back type.
It features a powerful, edgy lug design characteristic of 1970s models. The case back is engraved with "WATER RESISTANT."
The dial features a sunburst finish that emits an elegant luster depending on the angle of the light. The no-date, bar-index configuration accentuates the refined, functional beauty of the Lord Marvel.
Due to aging, it has mellowed into a soft champagne gold color, imbuing it with the sophisticated, calm atmosphere unique to vintage items. While there are minute scratches on the outer edge (near the 5 and 11 o'clock positions) and microscopic age-related spots on the dial surface, it remains in excellent condition without compromising its character.

Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished.
The strap has been replaced with a brand new genuine Seiko leather strap (current model), allowing you to use it with confidence.
The crown operates smoothly.
Although there are minute hairline scratches and scuffs on the case and case back that could not be removed during polishing, the original sharp lines remain well-preserved. The engravings on the case back are also clear.
The crystal is clean with no noticeable scratches.
As noted, the dial has aged to a champagne gold tone overall, and while there are edge scratches and microscopic spots, the visibility remains excellent, including the hands and indices.
As this is an vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Use in environments with high moisture (rainy days, while washing your face, wearing it on hot, sweaty days, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
Additionally, because it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid strong impacts such as drops and keep it away from magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
How to operate the Caliber 5740C
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
To wind the mainspring, please rotate the crown upwards slowly and carefully.
It will feel light when you start winding, but will become heavier as the spring reaches full tension.
Please be aware that with a manual-winding watch, forcing the crown once it has reached the stop point can snap the mainspring.
How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently.
If the crown is pulled with excessive force, it may come out entirely, so please pull it gently.
To prevent the crown stem from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Gentle operation reduces the burden on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate downwards.
