International Platinum Case (Pt900) Cal.8541 Automatic Winding Overhauled 1965 International Watch Co

This is a 1965 automatic 'IWC' model with a rare platinum case.

Due to high tariffs on imported finished precious metal watches,
this platinum model was assembled and sold in Japan using cases manufactured domestically with manufacturer approval.
 

The case back is stamped with the Japan Mint's precious metal assay mark.
It features a genuine crown with the IWC logo.

 

The dial has a sunray finish with fine radial lines, creating beautiful shading from the center to the outer edge, giving it a luxurious feel.
The pearl dots on the outer edge of the dial also shine elegantly.
 

Composed of applied bar indexes and bar hands with a constriction at the base, the design is sophisticated with a sense of unity in its form.
 

At the 12 o'clock position, the cursive ' International Watch Co. ' inscription exudes a vintage atmosphere.

　

It is equipped with the Pellaton automatic winding movement 'Cal.8541'.
Thinner than the conventional Cal.8531, it features a date quick-set function and can also be hand-wound, making it highly practical.
 

To quick-set the date on Cal.8541, advance the hands to 12 AM (watch time) and confirm the date changes.
Then, turn the hands back 15 minutes to 11:45 PM, and then forward 15 minutes to 12 AM.
Repeat this sequence to advance the date one day at a time.
Since this function puts a load on the mechanism, please operate it slowly.

This watch has been overhauled and exterior polished by our store and is ready for immediate use.

The strap is a new Di-Modell product, ensuring comfortable use.
