This is a solid 18K gold 'Marvel' from 1957.
 

The Marvel, which began production in June 1956, is one of Seiko's bestsellers and was the most sophisticated series of its time.
 

The movement was available with 17, 19, or 21 jewels, with the 19- and 21-jewel versions being produced in smaller quantities.
The Marvel movement featured a larger balance wheel and mainspring than conventional movements,
improving both accuracy and power reserve.

This particular model is a high-end version, featuring a solid 18K gold case and a red-plated 19-jewel movement.
 

The dial features a cursive Seiko Marvel logo and an applied S mark.
The applied indexes combine bar and trapezoid shapes, creating an elegant sparkle.

This item has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our store, so it is ready for immediate use.
 

The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, so you can use it comfortably.

There is a weld mark on the lug at the upper left of the case.
