King Seiko was a series positioned as one of Seiko's top models, alongside the premium Grand Seiko, and was produced until the 1970s.
This is the first model of King Seiko, a high-precision wristwatch created by the Daini Seikosha Kameido factory, with the goal of surpassing "Swiss Chronometers."
This first King Seiko model was announced in 1961, the year after the birth of Grand Seiko, and was manufactured for about three years.
It is a top-tier model that boasts specifications comparable to Grand Seiko, but features a movement 2mm smaller in diameter than Grand Seiko.
The dial features a sunray finish with fine radial lines, emitting an elegant shine.
The dial has "KING SEIKO" printed at the 12 o'clock position, and
a SD dial (Special Dial) mark at the 6 o'clock position.
It features a simple yet powerful design with thick bar indices and dolphin hands.
The case is 14k gold-filled, and the crown is genuine with the S mark.
Condition
This item has been overhauled and its exterior refinished by our store, so it is ready for immediate use.
The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, ensuring comfortable use.
The crystal has been replaced with a new one (matching crystal), providing excellent dial visibility.
There is no wear on the head of the crown, allowing for smooth crown operation.
There are no noticeable scratches on the case, dial, or crystal, and it is in very clean condition.
While there is an commemorative engraving on the inside of the case back, it is not visible from the outside and is not a concern.
The shield logo on the case back also remains beautifully intact, making it recommended as a collector's item.
Due to its age, please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days and use it as a non-water resistant item.
