Seiko Crown Special 15021E 14K Gold Filled SD Dial Cal.341 23 Jewels Hand-wound Overhauled, Manufactured in 1962

This is a Seiko Crown Special from 1962.

The Crown Special is a high-end model launched as a minor change to the Grand Seiko First model.

At the time, the Grand Seiko First cost 25,000 yen, and this Crown Special (gold-filled) cost 10,000 yen.
While there are differences in design and movement specifications, it can be said to be a model with an excellent balance of product grade and selling price.
 

The case is 14K gold-filled, similar to the Grand Seiko First.
It features an elegant color that is different from plating.

The dial is a high-grade specification called "SD dial", with indexes made of solid 18K or 14K gold.
The sun-like mark at the 6 o'clock position signifies an SD dial.
The elegant luster is still present today.

While a simple three-hand model, it features strong dauphine hands, giving it a strong presence.
 

The movement installed is the Cal.341.
Compared to the Grand Seiko First, the movement finish and regulator type are different, but it is also equipped with a hacking function.

The dial has discolored over time, taking on a bronze-like hue.
This unique individual piece, with its distinctive texture, is a one-of-a-kind antique watch.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our shop, so it is ready for immediate use.

The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, so you can enjoy using it comfortably.

The crown is genuine and has an "S" mark, but it is worn and the "S" mark is difficult to see.

There are welding marks on the lower left and lower right lugs.
When wearing the watch, we recommend not tightening the strap too much to avoid putting stress on the lugs.

Originally, the watch was not designed to be highly water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days, and use it as a non-water-resistant watch.
