[Rare] King Seiko Chronometer 4420-9990 Late Model Lion Medallion Manual Winding Overhauled, Manufactured in 1965/Showa 40, Seiko SK-1944A

This is a rare Chronometer-spec King Seiko Second Model.
 

The King Seiko Second Model began production in 1964.
 

Compared to the First Model, a hacking function (stop-second function) was added, and the case back was changed from a press-fit snap back to a screw-back, improving practicality.

Durability was also improved by designing the case lugs to be thicker.

The Chronometer-spec model is a rare model because it was only produced for a short period of about two years.
The "Lion Medallion" on the case back adds a special touch.
Unlike other King Seiko models, the second hand has a unique design with a swollen tip.
 

This is a later model with the "Chronometer" inscription at the 12 o'clock position in block letters.

The mirror-finished, multi-faceted hour and minute hands and indexes radiate an elegant shine and possess a strong presence.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our store, so it is ready for immediate use.
 

The leather strap has been replaced with a new genuine one, ensuring comfortable wear.

Similar to the movement of the early 44KS, it features a "sickle-shaped" second hand regulating lever, and the hacking function operates correctly.

The crown is genuine, bearing the "W SEIKO" engraving.
There is no wear on the edge of the crown, indicating good operability.

The medallion on the case back is clean, with no noticeable deterioration.

As it is nearly half a century old, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
