商品説明
This is the second model of the Grand Seiko, the pinnacle of Japanese domestic watchmaking.
Production of the Grand Seiko Second Model began in 1964, four years after the First Model.
Compared to the First Model, a date display (with quick-set function) was added.
It features a screw-back case, achieving 50m water resistance (at the time of manufacture).
Practicality has been improved.
The case material became stainless steel.
The lugs were designed to be thicker, improving durability and giving it a strong presence.
This particular piece is an early model with a "Lion Medallion" on the case back, making it rare among second models due to its limited production.
The dial is an early type, with "Grand Seiko Diashock 35 jewels" printed at the 6 o'clock position. (Later models switched to the GS logo)
The mirror-polished, multi-faceted hour and minute hands and indices emit an elegant glow.
The movement is a hand-wound "Cal.5722A."
The crown is 5.5mm in diameter, making it large and easy to grip,
making it recommended for those new to hand-wound watches.
How to Operate Caliber 5722A
Hand-winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate downwards (the second hand will stop).
Date quick-set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards.
While the quick-set function is convenient, operating the quick-set while the watch indicates between '9 PM and 2 AM' will cause a malfunction.
It is recommended to set the time to around 6 o'clock before using the quick-set function.
Condition
This item has been overhauled and externally polished by our store and is ready for immediate use.
The leather strap has been replaced with a new genuine one, so you can use it comfortably.
The crystal has been replaced with a new matching crystal, providing excellent dial visibility.
The crown is genuine and features the W SEIKO logo.
Many second models have worn crowns or have been replaced with different ones, but this piece retains its original "W SEIKO" crown.
The engraving on the back is faint, but the gold medallion is in good condition with no noticeable damage.
There are some minor stains on the dial, but overall it is in a beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches or dirt.
Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
