This is a rare 18K solid gold case "Lord Marvel" made in 1963.
The number of jewels in the movement was increased from 17 to 23.
The movement features exquisite finishing, such as engraved and mirror-polished ratchet wheels, and polished screws.
All of these techniques were carried over to the Grand Seiko, which began production in 1960.
The dial is a high-end specification known as the "SD dial."
The indices are made of 18K or 14K solid gold.
The sun-like mark at the 6 o'clock position signifies the SD dial, and its elegant luster remains intact today.
The case is 18K solid gold.
Since most Lord Marvels come in gold-plated cases, this is a rare specimen.
The lugs are long and mirror-finished.
The design creates a sleek, vertical silhouette.
Because 18K solid gold is softer than stainless steel, we recommend not tightening the strap too firmly to avoid putting excessive stress on the lugs.

How to operate
Manual winding: Rotate upwards while the crown is in the normal position
How to pull out the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Handling it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull the crown out and rotate it downwards
There is no hacking (second-hand stop) function
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior finished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) crocodile leather strap, so you can use it with comfort.
The crown is genuine and bears the "S" mark.
Although there is some plating wear, the crown retains its original shape and is easy to operate.
There is a bulge on the dial near the 3 o'clock position.
The crystal has been replaced with a new (aftermarket) one and is clean.
Due to its age, it is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
