商品説明
This is the Revue Thommen "Cricket" alarm watch.
The "Cricket" is famous as a model favored by successive U.S. presidents (such as the 34th President, Dwight D. Eisenhower).
Because its alarm sound resembles the chirping of a cricket, it is affectionately known as the "Cricket," making it an interesting and conversational model.
The dial features a linear geometric pattern across its entire surface.
This pattern, used in the Cricket series, gives off an elegant luster.
It houses two mainsprings: one for the alarm and one for timekeeping.
Operating Instructions
Setting the time: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate downwards.
The hands will move clockwise. (Counter-clockwise rotation and moving the time backward are not possible.)
Winding the timekeeping mainspring: With the crown in the normal position, rotate downwards.
Winding the alarm mainspring: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
Setting the alarm time: Gently press the button at the 2 o'clock position to pull the crown to the first click, then push the 2 o'clock button all the way in to pull the crown to the second click, and rotate the crown upwards.
Pushing the 2 o'clock button in one single motion may cause damage.
Please perform the button-pressing operation in two steps.
The alarm hand on the inner dial will move counter-clockwise. (Clockwise movement is not possible.)
Move the hand to the desired alarm time, then return the crown to the normal position to turn the alarm ON.
Turning the alarm ON: Push the crown to the normal position.
Even if the alarm is ON, it will not sound if the alarm mainspring is not wound.
If the alarm mainspring is not wound, the alarm hammer becomes free; if you shake the watch, you may hear a clicking sound, which is normal.
Turning the alarm OFF: Gently press the 2 o'clock button to pull the crown to the first click.
Perform this same operation if you wish to stop a sounding alarm.
In the "button pressed and crown at first click" state, the crown will spin freely, which is normal.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and externally polished by our store.
The leather strap has been replaced with a new Di-Modell one, so you can use it with comfort.
There are minor scratches on the crystal that could not be removed during polishing, but these do not affect the visibility of the dial.
The original buckle shows signs of corrosion.
As this is a USED item, there is no water resistance guarantee.
It was not originally designed to be water-resistant, so please be careful with moisture.
Please also be careful to avoid impacts and magnetism.
