[Rare] King Seiko Chronometer 4420-9990 Late Model Lion Medallion Manual Winding Overhauled, Made in 1965 Seiko

This is a King Seiko Second model, a rare chronometer specification.

The King Seiko Second model began production in 1964.
Among them, the chronometer specification is a rare model because it was only produced for a short period of about two years.
The Second model added a hacking function (stop-seconds function) that was not present in the First model.
The case back was changed from a press-fit snap back to a screw back, improving practicality.
In addition, the lugs of the case were designed thicker, which also improved durability.

The dial at the 12 o'clock position has "Chronometer" written in block letters.
The hour and minute hands and indexes are multi-faceted with a mirror finish, giving them an elegant shine and presence.
The entire dial has a slight burn, making it an attractive piece with a nice aged patina.

The case back features a golden "Lion Medallion," adding a special touch.
Unlike other King Seikos, the tip of the second hand has a specially designed bulge.

The original crown has the W SEIKO logo.
With a diameter of 5.5mm, it is easy to grasp and operate.

Manual Winding: Rotate upwards with the crown in the normal position
 

How to Pull the Crown: Push a fingernail between the case and the crown, and move it like a lever

Please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.

Time Setting: Pull the crown and rotate downwards

The second hand will stop.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and externally polished.
 

The leather strap has been replaced with a new genuine one, so you can use it comfortably.

Similar to the movement of the early 44KS, it has a "sickle-shaped" second hand regulating lever, and the hacking function operates normally.

The crown has the original "W SEIKO" engraving.
There is no wear on the edge of the crown, making it easy to operate.

The medallion on the case back has some indentations on the edge but is otherwise clean.

Due to its old age, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy days or hot days.
