IWC 18k solid white gold Ref. 2501, 31mm diameter, Roman numeral indices, Cal. 423 manual-wind, overhauled, made in 1974

This is a 1974 IWC manual-winding model featuring a rare solid 18K gold case.

As a solid 18K gold model, the inside of the case back is engraved with "18K 0.750" indicating the gold purity, along with hallmarks, the serial number, and the model number.

The dial has a radial finish, with delicate lines that give it a luxurious feel.
The dial features the cursive "International Watch Co" logo at the 12 o'clock position, evoking a vintage atmosphere.
The indices are Roman numerals, and the black hands provide excellent visibility.

The movement is the manual-winding "Cal. 423".
The "Cal. 423" is a two-hand manual-winding movement based on the Cal. 403 (Cal. 854 base), with the seconds hand omitted.
It features the large, divided bridge design characteristic of IWC.
※The caliber number and serial number have changed due to a mainplate replacement. (The original mainplate is included.)

The crown is 4.7mm in diameter, making it easy to grip and operate.
There is very little wear on the edges, which is common in manual-winding models, and it remains in beautiful condition.

The case diameter is 31mm, which is on the smaller side for a men's watch.
Recommended for those looking for a vintage dress watch.

Operation

Manual winding: Rotate the crown clockwise in the neutral position.

How to pull the crown: Gently pull the crown out by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown.

Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown stem, please take the watch off your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.

Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate it clockwise.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and externally polished by our shop.

The crystal has minor scratches, but dial visibility is good.

The strap has been replaced with a brand-new CASSIS strap, so you can wear it with comfort.
The buckle is genuine (made of stainless steel). There is some wear and damage on the pin.

Since solid 18K gold is softer than stainless steel, the lugs may bend if subjected to heavy stress.
We recommend not wearing the strap too tightly.

The dial is in beautiful condition considering its age.

This is a non-waterproof dress watch that does not use gaskets.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days, and be careful to keep it away from moisture and humidity.
Please also be mindful of shocks and magnetism.
