商品説明
This is an automatic model from 'IWC' manufactured in 1972.
The dial has aged to a champagne gold color with a glossy finish.
The indices are Roman numerals, complemented by slender, black-painted hands.
At the 12 o'clock position on the dial, the applied 'IWC' logo and the cursive 'International Watch Co.' signature create a classic vintage atmosphere.
The case is round, with slender lugs that contribute to a beautiful form.
The crown is original IWC and features the 'fish' mark.
It is powered by the Pellaton automatic movement, 'Cal. 8541B'.
Compared to the earlier Cal. 8531, this movement is thinner and features a hacking function and a quick-set date mechanism (by toggling between 0:00 and 23:45). It also supports manual winding, making it highly practical.
How to operate the Cal. 8541B
How to pull out the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown, and move it like a lever.
It is easier to pull the crown by inserting your fingernail between the crown and the case from the back side.
Please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce stress on the crown and prevent it from pulling out.
Manual winding: Turn the crown upwards in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and turn it upwards.
The second hand will stop.
Quick-set date: Pull out the crown and toggle between '11:45 PM and 12:00 AM' while in time-setting mode.
1) Advance the hands until 12:00 midnight.
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is 12:00 noon.
2) Once you have confirmed that the date has changed, turn the hands back to 11:45 PM.
This prepares the mechanism to advance the date to the next day.
3) Advance the hands forward to 12:00 midnight.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating steps 1) through 3), you can advance the date one day at a time.
Please perform this operation slowly to reduce stress on the movement.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished.
The crystal has some minor scratches that could not be polished out, but visibility of the dial remains excellent.
It is fitted with a rare IWC mesh bracelet. The buckle features an IWC engraving.
It is a free-adjustment type that is easy to resize, offering a soft and comfortable fit.
If you find the mesh bracelet difficult to use with one hand, please replace it with a leather strap.
The crown operates smoothly.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, be careful to avoid shocks and magnetic fields.
