This is a 1968 Swiss-made Bulova manual-wind wristwatch.
The dial features a sunburst finish and is accented with gold dauphine hands for a classic design.
The case is gold-plated, and the case back is a stainless steel screw-back type.
It is powered by the "Cal. 11ALC" movement. This is a center-second version of the "Cal. 11AL," featuring a smooth balance wheel without timing screws and a Kif Ultraflex shock protection system.
There were several types of manual-wind movements used by Bulova in the 1960s; the "Cal. 11AF" series with timing screws was primarily used in the early 1960s, while a shift to the "Cal. 11AL" series appears to have taken place in the late 1960s.
This piece captures the quintessential look of a vintage watch and is highly appealing for its original buckle, which matches the design of the dial logo, as well as the rare, older logo on the case back featuring a ballerina motif.
How to Operate
Manual Winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
How to Pull the Crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown and pull it out gently.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Operating it gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not stop.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The strap has been replaced with a brand new one from CASSIS, so you can wear it with comfort.
The buckle is an original Bulova part.
The crown is unsigned. The crown operates smoothly.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Please also be careful of impacts and magnetism.
